The Wildlife Society
The Wildlife Society at UMD is a professional society for students interested in pursuing a major or career in the wildlife sciences. We welcome all majors and anyone interested in learning more about wildlife research and management. As a club, we go on hikes, have fun guest speakers from places like the National Aquarium or USDA-Wildlife Services, and learn techniques for field research like camera trapping and radio telemetry.
UMD Beekeeping Club
An educational club for aspiring beekeepers, we manage hives located on campus and welcome anyone interested in learning to work with honeybees. Open to students, staff, and faculty.
UMD Arboretum and Botanical Garden
The UMD Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Our entire College Park campus is a convenient and easily accessible arboretum. What is an arboretum? It is a collection of trees and plants maintained for scientific and educational study and public enjoyment.
